As a professional, I have a Bachelors degree from the University of Iowa. Prior to starting my insurance agency in 1986 I was a licensed real estate agent in the state of Texas. This valuable experience has served me well in insuring homes and property in Texas. I have attended the following Society of Certified Insurance Counselors institutes; Agency Management Institute, Life and Health Institute. I have attended the Society of Certified Insurance Service Representatives Insuring Personal Automobile Exposures. In 2002 I was a member of a panel with Rod Bordelon, Public Insurance Council for the state of Texas, which addressed Dallas realtors and mortgage brokers concerning the homeowner’s insurance availability crisis due to mold.

I am past President of a 432 unit Condominium Homeowners Association in North Dallas. In my career at Farmers Insurance I qualified for Toppers Club, Commercial Masters, The Blue Vase and in 1996 I was awarded the Agent Leadership Award. I am a past President of The Northlake Texas Community Development Corporation (CDC) board of directors. Selected as "Best Home and Auto Insurance Agents in Dallas 2012, 2013,2014,2017,2019 by D Magazine. I was a member of the Northlake Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee producing the "Pathway to 2040" comprehensive plan.
